FUNDRAISING OFFICER
ROLE DESCRIPTION |

- Work closely with the Director to formulate a fundraising strategy for CDI’s annual budget of over £60,000
- Develop a strong network of funders (trusts, foundations and corporate bodies) and take a lead on managing CDI’s funding partnerships
- Identify, compose and monitor grants to support CDI’s project and operational costs
- Design and lead CDI’s informal fundraising activities, helping to organise a volunteer team of around 40 people in fundraising activities
- Collaborate with our student partners in Tanzania, to build a fundraising strategy for Kite DS and increase grant-writing and event planning capacity

- Show initiative and creativity when identifying and pursuing both formal and informal funding sources
- Gain extensive experience completing grant proposals, extending corporate solicitations and marketing CDI projects, which are widely sought-after skills for future private and non-profit employment
- Increase the sustainability of Kite DS by facilitating fundraising skills transfer among team members
